The boy at the back of the class - Little Me
Coming across it
I discovered "The boy at the back of the class" as I was searching for something to read over the 2 week Christmas holiday when I came across this book at my school library. One of my friends had read it before so I thought I would ask him for his opinion. He said it was a good book so I thought would give it a try. I was initially looking for a book that someone would rate awesome but I guess at that time good was enough for me.
The book
I started reading this book after I had finished another book I had selected to read in the Christmas holidays. I wasn't expecting too much and that may be why the book totally took me by surprise. I was totally into the book. I read it whenever I could and to my surprise I had finished it within a day. The story was about a boy who is a refugee and needs to find his parents. Alexa and her friends try to help Ahmed and bump into a lot of trouble.
Blurb
I have wrote a version of the blurb below:
Alexa's class always had an empty chair at the back of their class but this year is different. A new boy Ahmet joined her class. Ahmet does not know how to communicate or where his parents are. The more Alexa and her friends, Tom and Josie find out about Ahmet and his family the more they want to help. Desperate to re-unite Ahmet to his parents, together they come up with an extraordinary plan (involving the queen). Will this actually help Ahmet or will it just bring fame. The UK borders will close soon. Time is running out. It's urgent.
